Underage gambling is an offense that most minors do not consider an actual crime. Living in the area that I do, I am aware that the only reason underage gambling doesn’t take place is because we have only one local casino and the security is very effective. If the security was not as effective, I believe a lot of minors would gamble and not think twice about it.
Gambling when you are not of age can make a difference in a person’s financial life in the long run. Gambling is when you risk something that you have in hopes that you may receive more. Most teens live on a very tight budget in the first place, so throwing any of it away can make a big difference. Financial stability is a factor that plays an important role in everyone’s life at some point and time; therefore, learning how to handle and maintain your money is a necessary characteristic. However, gambling can be fun and beneficial, if handled the right way at the appropriate age.
