The Juniors Beat the Record in Magazine Sales!

By Brittney Guthrie & Tony Salazar, Growl Staff Writers

In order to pay for prom, each year the Junior class must sell magazines. This years Junior class was able to set the bar and create a new school record! This year the total amount of magazines sold were $15,563.25. Our school gets 40%, meaning our profit will be $6,249.30. If you sold 5 magazines, you had access to go to prom for free. Selling 10 or more magazines enabled you to get a 2016 class sign. If you sold 15 magazines or more, you will be eligible to go to the St. Louis Cardinals game. In the Junior class, 22 people can attend the game and so far 38 people can attend prom. The class of 2016’s top seller is Natalie Crockett, who sold 122 magazines. The second top seller was Peyton Robinson, who sold 89 magazines and Cheyanne Robinson was third. Cheyanne sold a total of 56 magazines. Good job, guys! We would like to say thank you to our friends, family, and community for supporting us. We would also like to say thank you to everyone who participated. Congratulations class of 2016, you did it!
